Judaism in the 21st century is a way of life. It is more than a religion and it is more than a nation. It is indeed a community, but more than a community. In the establishment of and continued cohesion of communities the elements most necessary are what tie the community together. Union in purpose, attitudes, similarity in beliefs, the sense of being unique and necessary, all these aspects bind the Jewish society of communities together. Not insignificant is the element of being different and that this difference is desirable. In today's world, Judaism is gaining popularity as modern society questions its traditional beliefs. Judaism is a religion that provides a generous world view for Shalom and working together for the common good, without condemnation of other peoples. Since many of us believe that "Torah is life," and realize that it can only bring "life" in the sense that it is applied to ones actions, we find it our ongoing quest to line up with its principles in creating Tikkun Olam.
